Dustin is co-owner of Vancouver’s One Yoga for the People, a Vinyasa based yoga studio located in the Gastown neighborhood. He leads classes, workshops and retreat intensives locally and internationally, and acts as faculty member for the One Yoga Teacher Training programs. When he is not in Vancouver or traveling abroad, Dustin enjoys spending time in the lake country of northern Saskatchewan.

My personal practice is founded on two primary styles of yoga: Ashtanga and Iyengar- both schools of the Krishnamacharya lineage. As a teacher, I deliver essential principles of these yoga practices in a way that is both flexible and disciplined. Through a consistent approach based on integrated breath and movement (vinyasa) and mindful alignment, the space for the direct and free experience of yoga is held. The environment is intended to be light-hearted, grounded and sincere so that students can explore their personal practice with focus and courage.

I believe that our yoga practice presents the same opportunity for connection as taking a walk in the forest, listening to music or enjoying the company of good friends and family. It is with an open heart and attentiveness that these relationships flower naturally and give great meaning to life.

I have been blessed to study with many gifted teachers including: my mom and dad, Rolf Naujokat, Ryan Leier, Baron Baptiste, Doug Swenson, Larry Schultz, Eddie Modestini and Nicki Doane. It has been with their guidance and support that I have established the foundation of my practice and therefore, my teaching. With great respect, I honour the lineage and tradition while offering the teachings in a way that is direct, relevant and progressive.
